Culture wise Oslo has a lot to offer. It is one of the cities with the most events! Say whaaaaat!
The summit of culture in Oslo is the Opera! You don't need to attend a show to visit the opera house. You can just walk over it and chill on the roof. But back when I visited the opera and the backstage in the beginning of my stay, I was so amazed I immediately decided I just had to see a show there!
So a few weeks later we found ourselves in the company of high class Norwegians attending a show called "The Hamlet complex". It wasn't an opera piece but a new dancing theater show, choreographed by a Norwegian.
Just a little before we entered the big showroom we found out the piece was over 3 and a half hours long?!? (well at least we got worth for our money right ...?)
As we got ready for the long ride the lights started to dim and a little girls entered the spotlight. I immediately got sucked into the play. Each break I fell more and more in love with the play. Almost 3 hours later during the last break I found myself hoping it would never end. It was a wonderful experience! Filled with dance and emotion!
