With only a little less than 2 months left in the wonderful Oslo, I find myself a little over halfway in my exchange but with double the knowledge and experience (mainly because I don't have a microwave here and actually had to learn how to cook, still struggling but surviving anyway! What doesn't starve you, makes you stronger? no?)

This halfway point was marked by finishing my first course: Advanced visual communication. For this subject we were free to basically make any project we liked. I made a guide for Erasmus people in Oslo, but others made actual websites, beautiful posters,... all sorts wonderful projects! All these projects were exhibited at our exhibition in the school. But the joy of finishing a class was quickly spoiled since our next class had already started the morning before.

Later that week our teacher proposed to have a class dinner to celebrate the end of the first course. So we headed of to a restaurant that served traditional Norwegian food. Our teacher's wife called us brave for just eating Norwegian food without any preparation. I suddenly became scared that Rudolph would appear on my plate. But all was good! To my knowledge Rudolph was still safely running around on the North Pole, but you never know! Other than that the dinner was a lot of fun! We got to know the Norwegian people from our class even more and it is always nice to compare habits.

Since we had some nice days (a.k.a a day without too much rain) we also had a nice bonfire at the lake. We roasted some marshmallows. Some were a little more than "well done" but that's okay. It was an amazing night, though at this moment I really wish the smoke scent would leave my jacket!

Lastly we went to see an ice hockey game. Since I am not a big fan of football, I didn't expect to love it or anything. But then they started smashing each other against the walls and I thought it was amazing! The otherwise ever calm Norwegians turned into a field of hulks sliding remarkably graceful at incredible speeds. Take that football!

So with a new project and a bunch of plans I'm jumping right into chapter two. While the chances of snow keep increasing, I will continue to fill my time here with the most awesome adventures!
